PTM This Week, August 1st, 2017

Another great Plantation Toastmasters meeting is coming up this Tuesday! This week’s meeting should be educational, as well as fun, of course.

Here are some of the highlights:

Toastmaster Alyssa Loeffler shares some interesting trivia about the month of August.

Speaking this week:

  • Kathy Moon tells us about an exciting night in the Moon household from last year as she presents “Playing Dead”, the “A Dramatic Talk” project from the Entertaining Speaker Manual.
  • As she continues her trek to earn her Competent Communicator with the “Research Your Topic” project, JoAnna Almonte presents “Rare and Powerful”. This is a fun fact about JoAnna you’ll need to attend to hear!
  • Steve Hyatt, whose speeches are always educational and uplifting, presents as well.

General Evaluator Mnena Iyorpuu’s team delivers insightful evaluation’s immediately following our speakers for that oh so useful feedback.

Nick Smith wraps up with an educational Table Topics session. He’ll ask members to share advice in various subjects they are a known subject matter expert in. This promises to be an enjoyable session as members will be able to speak on subjects they know, where the challenge is making it useful for the laymen.

We wrap the fun up with the awards ceremony and adjourn at 8:30pm!

There’s always a few of us who meet at Chili’s afterwards. Members and guests alike are welcome to join us at the unofficial after-meeting meeting! We can give you more after the official meeting ends.

We’ll see you Tuesday!
